Paintedwithsound is a place for artists to meet and work across the boundaries created by traditional, individual art forms. The loose knit group of people it has catered for so far, is a band without set members and the space it has provided, no more than a changing opportunity for them to congregate. Its reason for being is to provide an opportunity for new projects to be dreamed, for the outcomes to be documented. The very first encounter was initiated by a visual artist, who joined paint with sound - a simple gesture that gave name to this space in the process. From that instant, many new partnerships suddenly looked possible: summons that would allow previously untold stories to be revealed. It is the purpose of this site to list and comment on such work as it arises and provide a point of contact.
